Super Extra Bonus Awards
The album fended off competition from Cathy Davey (who I, and others, must admit thought would win it out), Dry County and Adrian Crowley amongst others.
Congratulation s lads – well fucking deserved…
They are also playing at the Childline Rocks 2008 show at the Academy on Middle Abbey Street tomorrow night with Cathy Davey, Ham Sandwich, Future Kings of Spain and a whole bunch of other acts. The show is in aid of Childline Ireland and promises to be 7 hours of fun and mentaldom. Tickets are 23 Euros from Ticketmaster.ie

It’s like Jesus in a Monkey Suit…
I’m getting there slowly but surely – my sleep is making its way around the clock at a varied pace. I got up at 8 o’clock this evening and I’m hoping by Saturday to be getting out of bed by 8 o’clock in the morning. It’s a strange way of doing things, but it’s one of those in built things that I just do.
However, I am currently watching “Doctor Who: Genesis of the Daleks” which is passing the time beautifully.
In the meantime, I am seriously thinking of writing an album and having it out later this year – that’d be a fun thing to do (and why not?!) Meanwhile, I think I’ll sit back and enjoy the view (the window in our living room in High Wycombe shows a great depiction of my next door neighbour’s wall…)
And while I’m on the subject of album’s, the shortlist for the Choice Music Prize for 2007 has been announced and is below… Congratulations to all those nominated, but I (along with a couple of others) am surprised by the lack of Mumblin’ Deaf Ro from the list
Ah well, I suppose you can’t please everyone…

- Cathy Davey “Tales Of Silversleeve” (EMI)
- Delorentos “In Love With Detail” (Cottage)

Before I split, budding entrepreneurs must take note from online ticket touts – at the moment the average price of a Led Zeppelin ticket for their upcoming show at the O2 arena is approximately £7,425 (something like €9,900). I wouldn’t mind making most of my yearly wages in a single night……..
Sweet-oh
