New Stuff for March
Hey everyone,
Ian over at Thrill Pier has a link to a streams with Tape ‘n’ Tapes new album “Walk it Off” which I’ll pick up sometime this week and I’m going to trawl through Hot Chip’s new album as well.
Also over the weekend, I was reading about the new B52s album which is out May 28th. It’s called “Funplex” and is the bands’ first album since 1992’s “Cosmic Thing”.
I also added some new material to the collection, such as;
- Pink Floyd “The Piper at the Gates of Dawn” (again – I lost my last copy)
- The Ventures “The Ventures LP” and “The Ventures A-Go-Go”
- The Pop Group “Y” (again – also last copy got lost)
- Tom Waits “Alice” (once again replacing a lost copy)
and a few 60’s garage, psychedelic and funk compilations to the mix. I’ve lots of listening and work to do over the next few days, so I may be somewhat silent.
As well as all this I am currently waiting patiently for two new Doctor Who’s – “Black Orchid” (a Peter Davison two-part historical from Season 19) is out April 24th and “The Invasion of Time” (the finale from Season 15 with Tom Baker) is out May 10th.
Pick up’s next week will include William Hartnell’s “Time Meddler” (showing the debut of the Meddling Monk character portrayed by Peter Butterworth – please bring him back RTD, please….) and Jon Pertwee’s “Time Warrior” (the first story with the Sontaran’s as played by Kevin Lyndsey)
